Peut-on se former à la dignité ?

Alzheimer's disease, because it changes “being” and the “knowing how to be” of, individuals who suffer from the disease, also changes the way they are perceived and hence our nursing practice. By losing their autonomy, do they also lose their dignity? Are we worthy of their ontological dignity? Based on our clinical experience we propose an ethical and philosophical reflection for a vigilant view based on a presumption of competence of these patients, that is inscribed in our otherness.
