Rôle et importance de la physiothérapie en gériatrie

In the Quebec framework, physiotherapists, with their knowledge and competencies, play a major role with the elderly. Their careful, thorough, and relevant assessments of patients, their records and environmental resources, will allow the determination of an adapted treatment plan, based on the patients' objectives and related with those of the health care team. Physiotherapists work with patients presenting many conditions. In this article, situations less developed in physiotherapy were deliberately not presented: the elderly requiring palliative care or perineal rehabilitation.
