Male sexual dysfunction

A detailed psychosexual, medical and psychological history alongside appropriate investigations will allow the clinician to assess the likely contribution of organic and psychological factors as the cause of the sexual dysfunction. In around two-thirds of cases there will be a combination of contributory factors, and only a minority of cases are due purely to psychological or organic factors. Treatment should offer an integrated package of psychological and physical treatments to the man and his partner.
