Light therapy and seasonal affective disorder

The presentation, epidemiology and management of recurrent winter depression are described. Self-help measures, antidepressants and psychological treatments are outlined. Light therapy is described in greater detail, including the use of light boxes and dawn simulation. Other uses of light therapy are also summarized.
