PET-TAC: estructura y calidad del informe

ResumenEl PET-TAC presenta la dificultad metodológica inherente de tener que informar dos modalidades diagnósticas diferentes, combinadas y fusionadas en una. Por ello, el informe PET-TAC puede ser muy extenso y en ocasiones confuso para los médicos peticionarios. Para poder llevar a cabo una transcripción escrita clara y concisa de los resultados se propone y discute un informe PET-TAC estandarizado y formatizado (informe compacto PET-TAC). De esta forma se puede obtener una mayor aceptación del informe PET-TAC por los médicos peticionarios. Además, podría proporcionar una influencia positiva en la administración sanitaria para tomar la decisión de dotar con equipos PET-TAC a la mayoría de los hospitales.

PET-CT has the inherent methodological difficulty of having to report on two different diagnostic modalities combined and fused into one. Therefore, the PET-CT report may be very extensive and sometimes even confusing for the referring physicians. In order to make a clear and concise written transcription of the results, a standardized, formatted report (“PET-CT-compact-report”) is proposed and discussed. In this way, better acceptance of the PET/CT report can be obtained from the referring physicians. This could also provide a positive influence on health administrators to make the decision to extend the use of PET-CT equipment to the majority of the hospitals.
