Differential thermal biology may explain the coexistence of Platygaster matsutama and Inostemma seoulis (Hymenoptera: Platygastridae) attacking Thecodiplosis japonensis (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae)

► We examined thermal biology of two parasitoids attacking Thecodiplosis japonensis. ► Species-specific thermal development was described by applying quantitative models. ► Evident differences were found between the two sympatric parasitoids. ► Results were discussed with respect to parasitoid phenology and coexistence.
