Bioaccumulation of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) in flounder (Platichthys flesus) in the southern Baltic Sea

► PBDEs in flounder muscle were influenced by the distance from the Gulf of Gdańsk. ► BSAFs were related to sediment levels and Kow of individual BDE congeners. ► Flounder muscle, liver, and gonads differed in the PBDE levels and congener profiles.
