Dust generation on a proglacial floodplain, West Greenland

► We studied the characteristics of dust on a proglacial floodplain in Greenland. ► Wind speeds were too low to entrain mixed floodplain sediments. ► The dust source was a recent meltwater flood deposit. ► Meltwater fine sediment load, and dust storms may increase with glacier retreat.
