Mapping correlation lengths of lower crustal heterogeneities together with their maximum-likelihood uncertainties

► Correlation lengths of heterogeneity were extracted from LITHOPROBE AG-48 data. ► Profiles of correlation length estimates were compiled, including uncertainties. ► Compensation for the long axis of lateral correlations enables superior estimates. ► Features of the classic AG-48 interpretation were confirmed in the new profiles. ► A block of large scale lengths points to the influence of a parallel fault zone.
