Exhumation of Triassic HP-LT rocks by upright extrusional domes and overlying detachment faults, Ishigaki-jima, Ryukyu islands

► The Tomuru blueschist of Ishigaki-jima was metamorphosed at 200-230 Ma. ► The HP-LT rocks exhumed between Triassic and Eocene time in several stages. ► The Eocene upright extrusional domes were associated with a migrating step-over. ► The step-over was along a forearc strike-slip fault system. ► Metamorphosed ultramafic and gabbroic rocks were emplaced by submarine sliding.
