Transcriptional, biochemical and histochemical investigation on laccase expression during Tuber melanosporum Vittad. development

► Two laccase genes Tmellcc1, Tmellcc2 and a hypothetical laccase-2 precursor in Tuber melanosporum genome. ► Tmellcc1 and Tmellcc2 are upregulated in the ECM and down regulated in the FBs. ► The findings of this work agree with those obtained from DNA microarrays in the ECM.
