Theoretical study on the correlations between dye-iodine interactions and open-circuit voltages in dyes containing furan and thiophene

Multiple dye-iodine interactions are considered to properly assess the observed open-circuit voltage (VOC) in dye-sensitized solar cells, wherein the higher number of interactions produced lower VOC due to increase in charge recombination processes.
