Réflexions sur la notion de stratégies de soins

Can we use the word strategy when we talk about health care? We propose a distinction between medical strategy and care tactics. The first expression here refers to the process of establishing protocols, drawing up recommendations, and attempting to achieve a consensus; but the second puts more focus on the caregiver, favouring “tact” rather than procedures. Care can entail strategy, but its practical implementation builds a relationship. The challenges are different: strategy needs to use tactics.
