Role of gene-gene/gene-environment interaction in the etiology of eastern Indian ADHD probands
چکیده انگلیسی
► Ten functional dopaminergic gene polymorphisms were studied in India-Caucasoid population. ► Significant preferential transmission of the DRD4 7R-T haplotype was observed. ► Bias in transmission of MAOA 3R-T & DAT1 9R-5R haplotypes was also noticed. ► Interaction of polymorphisms with DBH activity and hyperactivity score was detected. ► Data obtained indicate a “hypodopaminergic” status in Indo-Caucasoid ADHD probands.
