Blockade of microglial activation reduces mechanical allodynia in rats with compression of the trigeminal ganglion

► Compression of trigeminal ganglion produced activation of microglia and p38 MAPK. ► P-p38 MAPK was found to be predominantly co-localized in the microglia. ► Administration of minocycline or SB203580 attenuated mechanical allodynia.
