► Long-term ketamine induced cardiac damages. ► Histopathology indicated vesiculation, degeneration and coagulative changes. ► Troponin increases in sera of ketamine treated mice. ► Electrocardiogram (ECG) indicated ST wave elevation. ► Ketamine-alcohol combined treatment enhanced damage by ketamine alone.
