Developmental outcome after a single episode of status epilepticus

► Psychomotor and executive functions of infants were investigated following status epilepticus. ► After status epilepticus, infants were inferior to healthy controls on psychomotor skills and self-regulation. ► The impact of status epilepticus was stronger on visuomotor skills at a young age and on sociolinguistic skills at a later age. ► The functions that are emerging at time of insult are the most vulnerable.
