Trypanosoma cruzi nucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1 (TcNTPDase-1) biochemical characterization, immunolocalization and possible role in host cell adhesion

This work describes the heterologous expression and enzymatic activity of NTPDase-1, which is ubiquitously expressed in epimastigotes, participating in the T. cruzi adhesion to host cells and infection.
