Obtaining of three recombinant antigens of Entamoeba histolytica and evaluation of their immunogenic ability without adjuvant in a hamster model of immunoprotection

► Experimental induction of amoebic liver abscess in the hamster model by Entamoeba histolytica. ► Recombinant proteins rEhCBP30 and rEhCBP30-CHP as immunogens against amoebic liver abscess. ► No adjuvant is required to induce protection with rEhCBP30 and rEhCBP30-CHP. ► Inflammatory infiltrate was moderate in hamsters immunized with rEhCBP30 or rEhCBP30-CHP.
