Chemometric data analysis application to Sparus aurata samples from two offshore farming plants along the Apulian (Italy) coastline

► We considered a chemometric approach to characterize the chemicals determined in offshore farmed fish. ► The influence of feed and environment were individuated. ► Body growth, feed characteristics, feed intake and farming plant site appear the critical aspects in determining the fish body burden.
