Prediction of tree biomass in the forest-tundra ecotone using airborne laser scanning

► Biomass was predicted on sample plot-level in sub-arctic forest with an RMSE of 19%. ► Highly accurate biomass predictions were obtained also with low resolution ALS-data. ► A new algorithm for correction of uneven distribution of laser points was developed.
