Enhanced simultaneous PEC eradication of bacteria and antibiotics by facilely fabricated high-activity {001} facets TiO2 mounted onto TiO2 nanotubular photoanode

• A novel photoanode with NSC/NTA was successfully fabricated.
• Recalcination can remove surface F from {001} facets, and improve PEC activity.
• Bacteria can be effectively photoelectrocatalytically inactivated using photoanode.
• The photoanode can effectively photoelectrocatalytically degrade antibiotics.
• Mixture of bacteria and antibiotics can be simultaneously eradicated.
