Prioritisation of odorants emitted from sewers using odour activity values

• Sewer headspace VOCs are generally unlikely to be a significant odours contributor.
• VSCs were dominated by hydrogen sulfide, followed by methyl mercaptan and sulfides.
• VSCs are expected to be odorous and a significant contributor to sewer odours.
• A methodology to prioritise odorants was developed and demonstrated.
• VSCs were the dominant priority odorants.
