Fault architecture and deformation processes within poorly lithified rift sediments, Central Greece

► Fault architecture depends on rheology, stratigraphy and fault displacement. ► Fault zones contain dragged and mixed beds or lenses of undeformed cohesive material. ► Most fault zone deformation is achieved by particulate flow, aided by cataclasis. ► Strain can be localised in competent sediments.
