Giant trees from the Middle Pleistocene of Northern Thailand

► Large fossil logs are reported from the Mid-Pleistocene of Thailand. ► Architectural analysis indicates heights in excess of 100 m for source trees. ► Mid-Pleistocene biotope was a high tropical rainforest. ► This forest was no barrier to humans as contemporaneous artefacts were found closeby.
