The signature of strain magnitude in tills associated with the Vistula Ice Stream of the Scandinavian Ice Sheet, central Poland

► The properties of basal till deposited by the LGM Vistula Ice Stream are presented. ► Matrix deformation, intergranular advection and clast ploughing took place. ► Proxies show low shear strain of the till in the order of 10-100. ► Fast ice flow was achieved by sediment deformation and enhanced basal sliding.
