Bone marrow aspirate combined with low-level laser therapy: A new therapeutic approach to enhance bone healing

► We evaluated bone formation in critical-size defects in rat calvaria. ► We combined bone marrow aspirate (BMA) with low-level laser therapy (LLLT). ► We coagulated BMA with calcium chloride to improve its handling characteristics. ► BMA/LLLT combined gave significantly more bone than BMA or LLLT alone.
