Synthesis and characterization of doxorubicin modified ZnO/PEG nanomaterials and its photodynamic action

► ZnO/PEG nano sensitized with DOX were synthesized by vacuum evaporation method. ► DOX sensitized on ZnO/PEG nanocomposites were characterized. ► That DOX-ZnO/PEG nanocomposite generates 1O2 and inactivate the bacteria cell. ► It was found that photoinduced cleavage of DNA and HeLa cells using DOX-ZnO/PEG.
