A fluorescence parameter based analysis on the solubilization of carvedilol by bile salt media

► Fluorescence parameters are used to analysis the solubilization of Carvedilol (CVL) by bile salts. ► Enhancement of these parameters correlates to the progressive micellization of bile salts. ► Parameter (I347/I357) indicates CVL present within non-polar regions of bile salts. ► Carbazole moiety of CVL associates with steroidal moiety of bile salts. ► Minor interactions between the side chains of CVL and bile salts are possible.
