Explaining regime destabilisation in the pulp and paper industry

► We analyse the transformation processes in the Swedish pulp and paper industry. ► External landscape changes have motivated the industry to make incremental changes. ► They have also increased the industry's interest in biorefinery technologies. ► Development along two new technological trajectories is identified. ► This could indicate a regime destabilisation, i.e. a critical point in a potential transition.
