Electrochemical and optical properties of poly(3,4-dimethylthiophene) and its copolymers with 3-methylthiophenein ionic liquids media

- Homopolymers and copolymers of DMT and 3MT were prepared in pure ionic liquids.
- Specific capacitance of PDMT is 287 F/g in ionic liquid.
- Cyclability is 15 times better in ionic liquid than in classical organic electrolyte.
- Compositions of copolymers were analyzed by UV-visible spectroscopy.
- Their electrochemical, optical and morphological properties were compared.
