Heat capacity and thermodynamics of solid and liquid pyridine-3-carboxylic acid (nicotinic acid) over the temperature range 296Â K to 531Â K

► We determined the heat capacity of solid and liquid nicotinic acid by DSC. ► We determined Δ357.8K305.6KHmo(NA,crII) by Calvet microcalorimetry. ► We studied the thermodynamics of the cr II → cr I phase transition. ► We determined the ΔfGmo -T diagram of nicotinic acid for T = (296 to 531) K.
