Thermodynamics of molecular solids in organic solvents

► We study two different compounds, butyl paraben and benzoic acid. ► We exam thermodynamics of solid-solution solubility. ► This work shows a strong relation between solubility data and thermodynamic data. ► We combine DSC results with data over solubility in various solvents. ► A more accurate pure solid free energy can be estimated.
