Biotransformation of flavonols and taxifolin in hepatocyte in vitro systems as determined by liquid chromatography with various stationary phases and electrospray ionization-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry

► A robust LC/MS metabolic study focused on flavonols and flavanonols is presented. ► For analysis of the metabolites C18, C8, CNP and phenyl-based LC stationary phases was used. ► The study describes retention behaviour and MS data for individual metabolites. ► The metabolites were obtained using an in vitro human hepatocyte model system.
