Rapid determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in zebrafish eleutheroembryos as a model for the evaluation of PAH bioconcentration

► Zebrafish eleutheroembryos is proven as a non-animal model to test bioaccumulation. ► For both PAHs tested, bioaccumulation factors obtained are in the medium-high range. ► Analytical methodology developed uses small sample amounts and low reagents consumption. ► Cost of proposed test is much lower than the official ones and much faster.
