Solid-state synthesis, structure and properties of a novel open-framework cadmium selenite bromide: [Cd10(SeO3)8Br4]·HBr·H2O

A metal selenite halide has been synthesized and features a 3-D open-framework structure, composing edge-shared CdO8 decahedra and pillars of edge-sharing pentahedra. UV-vis, TG-DSC and luminescent measurements are also reported.
