Experimental study on creep behavior of saturated disaggregated sandstone

• Axial displacement and porosity are effected by fragment size and loadings.
• Creep mechanisms include fragment crushing, splitting and rearrangement.
• Abrupt changes in axial displacement are observed in the steady state creeps.
• Formation of shear zone is the possible mechanism of the abrupt changes.
