Titan's global crater population: A new assessment

► We report a revised crater population for Titan through January 2010. ► Efforts to use craters to date Titan's surface impeded by divergent cratering rates. ► We elucidate the specific model assumptions that led to these differences. ► Depending on the model used, we find surface ages of 0.2 Ma and 1 Ga. ► These estimates may be consistent with a thickening of Titan's crust 0.3-1.2 Gyr ago.
