The spectrum of comet C/2009 R1 (McNaught) in 4140-5240Â Ã wavelength region

► The medium resolution spectrum of comet C/2009 R1 (McNaught) is presented. ► The spectrum covers the wavelength region of 4140-5240 Å. ► The extremely low continuum level and strong molecular features are the main characteristics of the observed spectrum. ► 192 Emission lines of C2, CN, CH, NH2, CO+, and CH+ were identified.
