طب سوزنی ناشی از بی اشتهایی مبتنی بر یک درگیری پیچیده از مکانیسم های محیطی، نخاعی و مرکزی است. تعداد زیادی از علوم پایه و مطالعات بالینی این مفهوم را پشتیبانی می کند. با این وجود هنوز مشخص نیست که چطور این مکانیزم های مختلف درهم تنیده شده و نحوه کمک آنها به اثر طب سوزنی در مقایسه با یکدیگر متفاوت است. مطالعات آینده باید در مورد ویژگی های نقاط طب سوزنی یا رژیم های نقطه و تاثیر انواع و شدت های مختلف تحریک سوزن صورت گیرد. علاوه بر این، باید مشخص شود که آیا مکانیسم های شناسایی شده از طریق مطالعات حیوانی نیز به طب سوزنی در انسان نیز اعمال می شود.

چکیده انگلیسی
Acupuncture induced analgesia is based on a complex interplay of peripheral, spinal and central mechanisms. A large number of basic science and clinical studies support this notion. However it remains largely unclear how these different mechanisms are interwoven and how their contributions to the analgesic acupuncture effect compare to each other. Future studies need to address the specificity of acupuncture points or point regimens and the impact of different types and intensities of needle stimulation. In addition, it needs to be clarified whether the mechanisms identified through animal studies apply to acupuncture in humans as well.
