Quels sont les prédicteurs des comportements associés au respect des règles d’hygiène en soins infirmiers en cours de formation ?

RésuméNous présentons une étude dont l’objectif est d’analyser la prédictibilité des comportements associés aux violations de règles d’hygiène à partir des construits de la théorie du comportement planifié et de l’implémentation de l’intention. Cent cinquante étudiants en soins infirmiers ont répondu à un questionnaire à l’issue de leur formation théorique puis après leur retour de stage pendant lequel certains étaient observés en situation professionnelle. Les résultats mettent en évidence que le comportement auto-rapporté est associé au comportement observé en contexte concernant le respect des règles d’hygiène des mains et de la décontamination des surfaces. Le comportement auto-rapporté est expliqué successivement par le contrôle comportemental, l’intention et l’implémentation de l’intention quand celle-ci renvoie à la réflexivité vis-à-vis du comportement. Ces résultats sont discutés du point de vue des pratiques de formation en soins infirmiers.

We present a study whose aim is to analyse the predictability of behaviors associated with breaches of hygiene rules based on the constructs of the theory of planned behavior and implementation of intention. One hundred and fifty nursing students replied to a questionnaire following their theoretical training and then after returning from practical placement during which some were observed in a professional situation. The results highlighted the fact that self-reported behavior was associated with behavior observed in context with regard to the observance of rules governing hand hygiene and the decontamination of surfaces. Self-reported behavior is explained successively by behavioral control, intention and implementation of intention when the latter relates to behavioral reflexivity. These results are discussed from the point of view of nurse training practices.
