Hospitalisation à domicile, mode d'emploi

In France, home care hospitalization is organized within a framework patterned after regular hospitalization, but without the room and board. The same rules apply as for any private or public hospitalization, including quality of care and safety. Admission to home care hospitalization is a medical prescription and must have the full explicit consent of the patient or his/her representative. Home care hospitalization should remain a general polyvalent care modality even though specific competencies can be developed. Coordination of care is a priority for quality patient management.
