This article reshuffles the hysteric position by referring it to the symptom as a form of jouissance (enjoyment). It offers thus the general diagram of this position, as well as its male, female, hetero- and homosexual types, while consequently outlining several of the outcomes with respect to the historical significance of hysteria.
