Le temps, défense face à l'angoisse de mort

People living with a serious and potentially fatal illness are suddenly faced with the fear of death, and more precisely the anguish in face of the time of death. Time becomes a containing object receiving in its hollow the emptiness of death. From a clinical situation and based on a sociological and philosophical viewpoint, we will try to explain how it is possible for a patient to make time a defense mechanism protecting herself from death anxiety.
