Soins palliatifs hospitaliers en région Centre : données issues du PMSI 2009-2011

Patients are similar, except for the post-acute care. The increasing of home medical care conforms to the objectives of the 2008-2012 national palliative care program. Combined analysis of activity, hospitalization rates, patient geographic flow and health care circuit can help adapting health care supply in each territory. Post-acute care is clearly underfunded in the absence of activity-based fees. This study should be supplemented by qualitative data and cost-effectiveness studies, and broadened to non-hospital field.
