Derniers fragments d'un long voyage par Christiane Singer : le spirituel sous nos yeux mêmes
چکیده انگلیسی
Through the account of her inner behaviour, Christiane Singer bears witness to the basic paths of any spirituality. She considers illness as the ultimate opportunity to intensify their putting into practice. As a consequence, she is constantly aware and lives exclusively in the “here and now”. Her main aim is to live all the aspects of her life to the full; she accepts them instead of being subjected to them. Within this framework, abandoning herself completely to the extremely painful episodes she has lived through proves to be a determining factor in her evolution. The most striking outcome of this practice is that she progressively establishes herself into a state of extreme happiness without there being a cause, as well as boundless love of which she feels she is the medium. She then uses the words of some people at the end of their lives: “I have never been happier than now”. What fills her “is totally contained in this sublime ancient word: bliss”. She moves onto another level of being, still human but rare: the spiritual level. The traditionally described forms and levels of the spiritual are then examined in the light of that experience. Palliative care actors will find in this testimony the living, almost experimental, teaching which will allow them to understand what corresponds deep down to the much debated notions of spirituality (method) and spiritual (state of being). It illustrates that life in this state proves that “It is not always necessary for one to really die to put death behind one”.
