Patient, famille, soignant : un vécu commun, une (in)compréhension réciproque

Because the relationships between a gravely-ill patients' family and the patient's caregiver does not follow any protocol, it is complex and changeable. The patient appears to remain the one in charge decisions, but the family and loved ones become more and more involved in the care-giving process. The caregivers must then take care of them also. The challenge of maintaining a balance between the hoped for ideal and the reality of any given situation require the adaptability of each person. A clinical situation is offered as an example.
