Les transmissions écrites des psychologues en soins palliatifs : quels enjeux ?

Within the framework of the organization of interdisciplinarity, the traceability of activities, and the establishment of electronic patient files, the demand made of psychologists to make written transmissions of their consultations is becoming more and more pressing. There is large disparity between the methods used by psychologists for written transmissions. In the aim of identifying points of reference for clinical work, we consider the stakes involved with written reports in terms of the relationship with the patient, teams and in institutional terms, and we offer clinical illustrations. We cover the evolution of hospital psychologists' practices and the necessity in palliative care of an interdisciplinary approach to manage the psychological crisis of end-of-life patients. Patient information laws make it necessary to consider the possible impact on the patient and his/her family when reading the psychologist's reports. The reference to texts allows us to consider the issue in terms of professional practice, to define obligations and the responsibility associated and therefore to provide necessary points of reference. They are a resource for approaching practical questions, such as the necessity of differentiating psychological documents, of considering their access and of defining procedures in our places of practice.
