Analgésie spinale dans le traitement de la douleur cancéreuse : Ã propos d'un cas

Interventional analgesia techniques can be proposed for selected cancer patients requiring palliative care, particularly when classical analgesic therapy remains ineffective or causes non-reversible adverse effects. We report the case of a cancer patient presenting intractable neuropathic pain related to spinal metastases who was relieved by peridural analgesia and was thus successfully discharge to home. We discuss the indications and practical modalities of perimedullary (peridural and intrathecal) analgesia.
