Des questionnements sur les soins de support… à l'élaboration d'un projet de service

Since the advent of the term “supportive care”, we have examined the subject of palliative care in a large number of articles, searching for the meaning of this concept. Our questions concern not only the population receiving palliative care, but also the development of care schemes in our post-acute care department. The goal was to develop a concrete coordination of the wide range of disciplines involved to share professional competency and achieve truly patient-centered care. We have thus developed a care project which takes into account the full spectrum of the patient's pathophysiological, social and cultural needs.
